In June of 2012, I joined a fledgling team of 5 refugees from the advertising, software, and banking services industries. As Head of Product, I've spent the last year developing the brand identity, product ecosystem, UI and visual design — as well as much of the front-end development (bootstrappin it!).
In short, Tinypass is a software service (a robust API, with some lightweight plug+play implementations) that can fully power online business models for artists, musicians, filmmakers, journalists, and all other types of digital publishers and content creators. Sell and manage access to content. Incentivize and monetize engagement. Deliver dynamic site experiences based user access levels. Manage customer data, registration, inquiries and issues. In other words — all of the features of iTunes, Netflix, New York Times, Spotify — in your hands, with your content, on your site, in your brand, on your terms, with absolutely nothing separating you from your users.
Outside of a ton of exciting new developments to come, there are still a few legacy touchpoints (like the universal checkout system) which precede me - and a total overhaul is coming fast and heavy. Stay tuned.
