Company needed to create a new platform using existing ecommerce technology that allows users to download and maintain demo/trial installations of their software

increased downloads that lead to increased purchases

I was handed pretty tight constraints on this project - the framework we were working with was already there in terms of back end technology so there wasn't a lot of room for creativity and iterations on this project. I had to take the look and feel of the existing e-commerce pages and rework them to work with the task of downloading and maintaining demo software

We believe users who are able to download and manage their demos and trials for Tibco software will be more likely to purchase if they have a central spot to maintain all these things

Trying to shoe horn a process like demoing and managing trials into a platform that was not built for it and instead was built to purchase things. While at first those things seem similar enough that it may seem that it shouldnt have been too much of a problem, it really did limit us on how we could build out the feature

We made concessions and worked with what we had. So while the experience is not ideal, it is ideal as we could make it with the technology we were using
