Pair Programming and Remote work do not mix well. @Evan Dudla and I result to JoinMe and share mouse control to pair up when one of us is remote (which is always).
This concept is a Collaborative Code Editor for small teams that want to take advantage of Pair Programming but need to pair up with someone that is not sitting next to them.
Git works great, but it's not real-time. Pair Programmers want to know:
- Which files your Co-coder has open,
- Where in the files are they working,
- Watch editing in real-time
No more asking to take the keyboard or verbally expressing "Dollar sign. Open paren, Closing curly bracket" - it's magic.
(PS: Syntax highlighting is left out to give emphasis to the greater concept - paring.)

that's awesome, I like
Do the avatars go away once you start typing (like Google Docs)? Once we learn who is what color, they would be unnecessary distractions.
This would be one of the coolest apps ever made. Love it.
I would definitely pay for something like this.

Little rebound I did, added in a Replay feature, moved some stuff around and tried to make it more clear what file was currently being edited (or just open) in the sidebar

@Dave Pitman "Replay" will be the new "git diff" :-D
Great concept. It can help avoid lots of diff merging...
Dude... did anyone ever do this? Do you have a dev on this?

@Evan Dudla built an early prototype a couple of months ago ... we're going to explore sublime plugin soon :D
