This turned into a jumbled mess of gray, but all the shapes are blocked in. Coloring it will bring it all together nicely. Click the 2x for more detail.

Really loving these process shots! Cant wait to see the finished piece! Is this an actual location?
Yes, this is a community building in my town. It's for a client who got married there.
@Steve Lowtwait Wow ok, looked surreal. Beautiful spot!
This will turn out great! I would move the middle tree to the right, so it doesn't cover up the best part of the building.
@Philip Laibacher - Thanks for the suggestion. That's where a real tree is planted near the real building, so I wouldn't move it elsewhere. I'm confident that color and lighting will bring out the architecture behind the branches.
Hmm...Maybe you should stop by at night and cut it down. :)
Ha! I'll consider it.
Perfect. Whole image reads perfectly, and that overlapping tree just adds a more naturalistic; less planned look to the image. Perfect, man.
Thanks, Marc. To be honest, I was less enthusiastic about this commission than some of my others. But I'm becoming more proud of this one as I go along.

I've got some pretty colors going on here. It's a night scene. More to do in other parts of the illustration but I think this area is done.
