Hertzsprung-Russel

Hertzsprung-Russel diagrams help astronomers visualize the relationship between a star's luminosity & its temperature but visualizing their sizes relative to other objects during their life is rather difficult with a chart. With the help of coffee & Sketch, this concept for an application to educate the masses on the immense nature of stars was born.

The app guides you through three main sequences: main sequence, white dwarfs, & the giants. Each sequence uses different objects to show the star's relative sizes. Be it the diameter of Mar's orbit to show the grandeur of red giants or the size of our own planet compared to a white dwarf. It's all meant to give a person a better sense of how big or small a star can or will become.
