Sports Icon for Logo

One of my good friends asked me help him with a logo for his new project. We quickly riffed on a few ideas and within only about an hour of work we settled on this mark.

The project focuses around fantasy sports so the idea was to mesh popular sports balls into a new type of "ball" that doesn't exist. I thought this would bring out the fantasy aspect a bit w/o going over the top.
