Spinning out some new ideas with @matt yow @Sam Stratton and @Rocky Roark
We are trying to simplify it as much as we can so we can please such a large audience. Calling out each branch with a unique mark was proving to quite a large wall to climb.
More to come this is just a early exploration.

Love those last two directions guys. Maybe small pref. to the previous one.
Like this one more than the first :D
Too. Damn. Nice.
Owh, I have commented on the 'previous/other' one before really looking at this one. I have to say, recognizing the reception signs in this mark, I think this one is slightly better.
Minor thing, the star feels slightly misaligned or otherwise a tad too big. It might just be me, ignore me then, but I feel it could do better with a slight resize and maybe a few pixels up.
The concept is awesome! Where do you find the inspiration, @Bill S Kenney? I love your work, all of them!
Looks great! But agree @Nick van der Wildt, the star feels a little too low.
This is awesome.
@Bill S Kenney that's looking sharp my dood!
This is sharp and bold..I dig it
Like this better than the previous.
Looking mean! Love it. Definitely liking this over the previous shot too.
This is great, guys. I like both of them, but this is definitely the more solid of the two. The only thing I'd do other than what @Nick van der Wildt suggested is take the stroke in just a bit. Out of curiosity, Is this just for American based military organizations?
