    Hello everyone!

I've never designed a personal website before, let alone one for myself so I am a little green and would appreciate any feedback you talented folks have. I have two versions attached, each with a different 'Work' section. Would looove to hear which one you prefer, the light or the dark?

I'm trying to keep it really simple. I have been noticing a little style pop up in my work that I have never seen before so I am letting that take hold and seeing where it takes me. I've been trying really hard to think less and do more lately.

Anyway, can't wait to hear your thoughts. Thanks for lookin'! :)

P.S. This shot has been wholeheartedly inspired by one of my favourite Dribbblers, @Axel Herrmann and his seamless scrolling screens. Not as great but I thought I would give it a go :)

So awesome @Kylie - thank you so much for the mention here :)

Edit - I really like the colors and the all over feel of the site, hope to see it live soon.

Firstly, this is looking great! I prefer the dark version personally. One thing I would say is that it feels like something is missing from the footer, where you mention working at Humaan. Any plans to add something?

Also, how did you do this animation? It works really well!

Thanks @Dan, appreciate it! I'm leaning more towards the dark since sleeping on it. Yep, there'll be something on the right hand side, just wasn't sure what yet. I may even keep tweaking that area and try a couple of other things.

I made the animation with Frame Animation within the Timeline panel in photoshop. Played with the timing and tweened until I thought it look okay-ish :P

    This looks great!
I definitely dig the dark theme over the light - it breaks up the flow better, and calls more attention to the work. I have the tendency (maybe it's my photography background?) to think that showcasing work needs to happen on a white or very light background, as to not distract from the presentation, and to have a neutral color behind work that probably is filled with colors, BUT, I don't think it's true in the context of the web, and I think the work looks great on that darker background!
Think less, do more is great! Put it up!
A suggestion for the right-hand side of the footer - perhaps an illustration of yourself? Too cheesy?

Wow, thanks so much @Matt! I do tend to agree with you about the work being on white, or at least a 'neutral' colour. I tried it with a bunch of other previews of work and it didn't work that well. It also looks a little cramped as it is now. Anyway, I've sat on this for too long now and am working on a bit of a redesign of this. Same style, a little more evolved. It was always a work in progress anyway...

Heh, for some reason I am extremely opposed to putting my face on my website. Photo or illustration... It's taken me years to even start posting my work online. But.... I'll think about it ;)

    Right on, that's great!
I know what you mean - sort of feel the same way, but I went for it anyway. There's only one photo of myself I use online, and it kinda hides my face anyway, haha.
Good luck though, and I hope I see it online soon!
