Finalized design for a real estate finder in Australia named Homely. I know the word homely in america means 'ugly' but in Australia it means homey/cozy/warm.. etc.

Looking awfully similar to a logo that @Charlie Isslander did a while back. I would know because one of my clients used a similar logo too and everyone hated them for copying Charlie. ;)

@Mariusz Ciesla I disagree that it looks 'awfully' similar. It has similar styling, but his is just a heart with some shading. I do believe they could co-exist without anyone confusing the two. Sorry, but I don't see the fuss.

Maybe you should focus your attention on something actually looks similar: http://www.underconsideration.com/brandnew/archives/new_logo_for_thomas_cook.php

@Sean Farrell @Mariusz Ciesla I do agree with Sean, this one is different though, I already contacted Thomas Cook, they don't care about my work and my voice.

@Sean: not hating, just saying that you might see people being annoyed over it, just like I did with the logo that my client had, even though I was only doing the UI ;)

Oh brother... there are similarities in just about everything everyone does. It's just the way it is. There is no need to call everything out. @Sean Farrell did a great job with this. The mark has purpose: a door for real estate - making a heart for warmth...

@Sean: oh come on, I'm not hating and I know there are similarities everywhere. And I'm not denying @Sean Farrell did a great job. I love that logo. I'm just saying the similarity is there and there will be people who hate, which I myself experienced with ShopLove logo – which I haven't even designed

Love this, @Sean! The ONLY thing I might change is the direction that the heart if facing so that it makes the shape of a lowercase "h". You may have already been through that possibility, that's just the first thing that came to mind after all the warm, happy thoughts. :)

Looking at this, I completely forgot the American definition of homely and immediately felt the English/Aussie definition. Great Job.

Hey guys, I'm the CEO of Homely.com.au. Sean did a phenomenal job for us, we love everything about the logo. We wanted something that conveyed emotion, while still being relevant to real estate AND being a little different. Amazing work.
