Just some buttons for something new. Non-retina users click here.

Looks good @Shaun.
Like it :)
You're really breaking new ground here..
P.S. There is a button for non-retina users to see the actual size, kinda like the one you linked. Of course, it's double and not 72ppi but thats what you linked to... so same thing.
@Oscar, I always link to the full size since it looks like garbage at 400x300. Thanks for the feedback!
Or you could make the screenshot bigger, the button is too small for us to see the details :)
@Mohd Izuddin Helmi It's a normal size image/button if you checkout the full-size.
Awesome work man!
@Shaun Moynihan Great work Shaun and totally get what you did by linking to the full size. I've done it before because I think sometimes people miss the '@2x' button at the top. But yea, nice buttons.
Really dig the simplicity of these.
I like the spacing and construction of these, but shouldn't the inactive states be the same regardless of colour, or if the tone is different at least the outline, icon and label should be the same colour.
@Robert Cooper The top is an inactive state (before selecting items). The second is active, the third is hover. Thanks for the feedback!
Got it. So to my point I would expect the inactive state on the right to be darker than the left because dark grey is darker than purple. Just my two cents.
@Robert Cooper These are actually two variations. It will ultimately be one or the other. =]
