Mac OS Big Sur Battery Icon

I've seen a fair bit of criticism across the interwebs on the new Mac OS Big Sur battery icon in the new skeuomorphic style they are implementing.

So I decided to dust off my skeuomorphic design skills take a crack at it over lunch.
