Asymcar is a podcast featuring Horace Dediu, Jim Zellmer and guests.
“…what we plan to do is use the auto industry as a lens to understand how disruption works. Whereas Asymco is a narrative on an industry that is dynamic because of disruption, we hope to make Asymcar a narrative on an industry that isn’t dynamic because of a lack of disruption.”
I really enjoy the podcast.
This is the new artwork they’re using — it’s a variation on the original Asymco logo.
The attached file shows some of the ideas that landed on the cutting room floor.

Not iOS 7-style! :)
@Rene Ritchie I’m a Forstall kind of guy.
I love how this is a car emblem, considering the subject of the podcast. It works really well.
This reminds me of Citroen's emblem, but it's different enough that I wouldn't confuse them.
Did you make the background in 3D? Has a really nice curve happening. :)
Nice metal treatments! Looks awesome!
Was this made in Skala?
@Cory Hughes Thanks. Apart from some tweaks in Photoshop and initial shapes in Illustrator, it was all made in Cheetah 3D.
@Eli Schiff Unfortunately not. I’ll make sure I note it when I start posting shots made in Skala. :)
