Mario Johnny

For the past 6 months I've been busy working on a book series called "The Cartoon Guidebook to Absolute Failure" with my friend Erik Craddock and it's being released by SLG Publishing. Essentially it's an instructional handguide that tells the user how to do everything wrong in each scenario. The main spokesman for the series is Johnny, as seen here, who is the optimistic dummy who falls victim to each case, much like vintage instructional videos on what to do in case of a nuclear attack or Pip-Boy 3000 from fallout. Even though everything he does is drastically wrong we hope you still love him, even just to support his insane positive attitude even under the most strenuous circumstances - he means well.

How Johnny appears in the series changes between pages to best suit the subject matter. For each book we've decided to select one version of Johnny that best represents the particular issue's topics. For issue 2 we chose a rip off Mario character.

Within a few months we will have printed editions of each, 3 volumes collecting issues 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6 respectfully. After all of these have been released we'll even have a full hard cover edition with a slew of original sketches and bonus material.
