Nice animation but not a fan of the end result, they should be a bit further up and bigger IMO, and the gradients inversed or removed.

@Marcus Lindgren the sizes of the circles could not be bigger.

@Jackie Tran you don't HAVE to go by the icon grid 100%... in this case it doesn't really work. I'm not saying much, just a small bit.
Also, the reason they should be higher up is that the blue circle is centered, then the tip is added and the smaller one is lowered which visually lowers the center point.

@Marcus Lindgren yes, I don't have to but I believe that the grid is there for a reason and that's why I would like to stick with the grid system as much as possible.

To be honest, bigger circles would only ruin the whole thing. Right now, the chat bubbles work brilliantly with the white base space. These are my 2 cents Jackie, if you are considering to make those chat bubbles bigger, I suggest you to think wisely. It really works great now.

@Charlie Isslander Dude, what the hell are you talking about... If you read my comment to Jackie again, you'll see that was only a suggestion. Of course it's his own choice and he should create something that he really feels that will work in the eyes of many other people. You don't have to be a douche man and use irony.

Plus, I also think Jackie doesn't need a lawyer that will explain his thoughts. If he wants to say:"Hey Alek, thanks for the comment, I was thinking about doing this and this instead of that..." or something like that, he's going to do that. I have great respect for @Jackie Tran , I'm sure he knows that and he certainly hasn't understand my comment as an inappropriate one.

@Aleksandar Djuric but that was not my intention to offend you :) and I include you in that just because I wanted to know your point and what you think of what Marcus said.

P.S.: Screw that, no hate :)

To have the audacity to make a suggestion of improvement on dribbble?!

It was a suggestion not an order. Cool your beans.

@Charlie Isslander Cool, like I said that was only a suggestion. No hate, no negative energy. Just a thought. Peace!

Sorry, but I honestly don't like the icon. I like the way you made it using the wireframe but the outcome isn't really anything special.
That's probably because I don't like iOS7 icons in general, and you followed that style.

This is a classic example of how following a gridline exactly results in a poor outcome. If you want to center something you should always add a few pixels underneath to make it look visually centered.

@Marcus Lindgren Telling the designer how to specifically change their design to make it "correct" in your eyes is hardly constructive.

@Jackie Tran I love the shapes of the bubble; very cute. I'm not too keen on the new grid system but clearly you know how to use it instead of it knowing how to use you. :)

Not so sold on this one... the arrows just don't really look clearly like the chat bubbles we're used to. Unless the ones in the app look very curvy like those, I don't think they're very recognizable.
