Here is design progress on the formula builder that we've been cooking up at Mixpanel. We've been thinking through how to make the interactions of building a complex formula simple and intuitive.

Brilliant! I really have nothing for respect for what you've done here from a UI/UX perspective. Very original.

Is there any concern that disguising these formula's as letters (a,b,c, etc) will introduce any confusion? I love the paradigm, but (with my limited knowledge of it's goal and user) it looks like it could be confusing as to how the user got to the result (or is not getting the result) that they are going after. Will there be an option to view all the conditional blocks at once?

Great question, @Josh! In the live product, once you've chosen a property, the letter changes to that specific property. I've kept them as letters for the sake of presentation.

I love that you've stayed true to the Mixpanel visual style and haven't blindly run towards the flat movement.

This soft color scheme is just wonderful. Love your combination between flat and not-so-flat touch. Inspiring!

The checkmark for the save/confirm/submit button still doesn't make sense to me especially when you have a label next to the delete icon. Otherwise looks like a complicated problem to solve, but very cool looking.

Hi Ryan, The delete text in the tooltip is revealed on hover. I realize that this might be a bit confusing in a single screenshot.
