Not dead yet. But getting there pretty damn quickly.

Darn good. Feels that the edge of the gMail's M and the equal sign on the blackboard could be a tad bit crisper to go along with the rest of the set. Otherwise, this is really well made.
Damn good. But you don't seem to be using semitransparent borders? That's an issue.
@Ollin These icons appear in a single context, so their original borders are optimized for that display. I've revised all of the borders for the white BG in this preview.
@Prathyush Didn't notice GMail's border until now. Uck. Should the blackboard's glyph be crisper, though? It's chalk, so not crisp. Slightly feathered?
@Wil Nichols On a second thought, I agree. You are right. It should remain fuzzy.
@Wil Nichols Stuff optimized for all backgrounds doesn't suffer any issues on white backgrounds compared to an "optimized" thing, just saying.
Also, I mentioned this because the opaque borders mean that the bottom edge of the icon blends into the shadow weirdly on some icons [esp. plus sign at bottom right], which doesn't happen with a semitransparent border.
