MING Labs website redesign

Meta-modern corporate punk website for MING Labs

We made a website & brand identity for a business-minded design & tech company: www.minglabs.com — a ~70-person collective operating across Europe & Asia.

They wanted a new website that would explain their systematic approach to design as solid business partners to their clients, rather than just a production agency. And also to show their ability to empathize and act like humans, not corporate robots; their self-consciousness and self-awareness — qualities you rarely see in brands.

The website and identity are constructed around this idea of duality: serious business talk combined with irony and meta humour and self-referentiality between the lines (literally.) It is based on magazine-inspired layout to hold large amounts of texts, restrainted typography mixed with striking inserts to keep it structured, plenty of subtle animations and distorted visual effects to keep the attention.
