I've been playing around with a new crest for a grass roots soccer movement in Nashville. Nashville FC are trying to create a supporter-owned club so I whipped up a few ideas for them.

Knowing about this effort, I am intrigued. Looks pretty good, and I like the 'N' and how it flows with the circle.
    Why the fleur de lis?
Why the 3-stars? I know that Man City has 3 stars, and they dont actually serve a purpose.

Seriously, just trying to help. I like this much better than what they currently have! :)

@Sully Nashville's first settlers were French fur traders in the early 1700's hench the fleur de lis nod. As far as the stars on top, I pulled those from the state flag. One for west, east and middle Tennessee. Come to find out that the stars in soccer logos actually denote a championship or cup one, are you familiar with that? I had never heard of it.

@Stephen G Jones I am familiar with the number of stars denoting championships. Which is why it’s funny that Man City had 3 before they won 3 titles, and why Brazil has 5, Spain 1, etc.

I like the nod to the 3 stars going back to the state flag.

The fleur de lis is justifiable, but I think most people may not understand. I immediately think of New Orleans.

@Sully I was also thinking it may be easier, if the fleur de lis throws people off, to replace it with the 3 stars from the flag, and maybe use the fleur de lis in a secondary mark or icon sparingly. That would give me a place to put it instead of on top. Thanks for your comments, I think it helps going into my next round of revisions. I appreciate it!
