Protesting

There have been many protests in support of Black Lives Matter, not just in the states, but all over the world. Some of this was triggered by the killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, and has brought a spotlight on many more how have died at the hands of police officers, or even racially charged murder. I have already drawn several portraits of homages to some of the victims. But I also wanted to pay homage to those out and about protesting, because what they are doing is really important, they have brought a spotlight to what is happening, especially abroad, but also standing up for what is right.

It is 2020, equality should have been something which we didn’t need to fight for now, and the onus isn’t on the black community or other minority groups, it is something we all need to stand up for. This isn’t a political issue, it’s a human rights issue.
