Evolving the Overflow brand - Design process

This illustration was designed from scratch to serve as the hero image of our latest blog post, introducing Overflow’s new branding to the world.

My approach to this composition was to show in one image the whole dynamic process that is rebranding and co-creating. Two different people’s hands point towards collaboration, stationary and devices spread around the table point to the organized chaos that the creative process can be, the logo being re-colored in the middle of the frame puts the new brand in the centerfold of the composition.

This new banner was also a good way to test Overflow’s new color palette. Our new colors are softer, friendlier to the eye, more human and playful and a big part of this exercise was to find the right color balance and give a certain identity to the rest of the article, which overall is very visual.
