Quick mockup for fun :p

Call me crazy but I actually like this.
Love the style, but the hairline icons are too light to be easily recognizable.
It looks super cool and fresh but I hope OS X will be more skeuo in the future :)
Much much better than all those concepts on Cult of Mac etc. There's definitely something interesting here.
love the style! Don't get the positioning on the toolbar icons though..
It looks good but IMO it needs some more work. But good first draft :)
@Alexander Zaytsev Having gradients and depth ≠ skeumorphism.
Wouldn't mind using an OS like this at all. Only thing I'm not too excited about are the hairline icons. Agree with @oVan they're hard to recognize.
Looks beautiful, but not sure how it'd look with larger windows and lists and images, basically how it'd look in practice.
Logical step to a new OSX design, inspired by iOS. Nice!
Superb. Love it.
Nice work, but Apple: PLEASE DON'T! I don't want an iOS7 style Mac OS.
Looks better than a lot of other concepts I've seen. Less cluttered for sure.
Not sure I'd like to see an iOS 7-style Mac though..
Very nice! ...just think Apple will use Helvetica as default system font ...maybe :)
love the style.
No Vista–I mean iOS 7* style frosted glass or whatever that is? :P
Can someone make an OS X theme out of this!!!
For what it is, this is well rendered. The issue I see with this aesthetic is not so much the appearance, though it isn't my personal preference, but rather its hierarchy. There are three distinct fields in the window, but two of them are styled identically and they're therefore less legible.
Looks great I think, Im not sure I'd enjoy a full-white iOS 7 styled OS X though.
To nitpick like a mofo, I think you've got the wrong icon highlighted :D
Flawless execution as always, but I just can't see how this would actually work for a desktop OS. Your example looks okay because it's an incredibly simple Finder window. Try rendering Final Cut Pro or Xcode in this style and see if they're even close to as usable as the current UIs.
@Bill Labus Thanks! So, two things to mention here:
1. I don't see this mockup as a real thing, it was just a quick and fun (naive) experiment ignoring on purpose lots of constrains in order to focus on the overall direction. Something more rigid and contrasted would probably be necessary on the real thing.
2. A minimal design approach should imho come with a less cluttered interface. Less controls, less visible features by default. Lots of toolbars could be greatly simplified.

Check out the @2x because the scaled-down version looks like crap.
The selected item in the sidebar easier to see.
The segmented control for view type is now more obvious in how it works and it's state.
The header now has a slight gradient to help differentiate it hierarchically from the file browser.
