It's about time for a I'm hanging up my old alias of armadilloboy and stepping out into the big boy world. I have named my new site illosmith. I am an illustrator, I am a is my trade.

Any thoughts or comments are welcome.

I'm undecided as to whether or not the pencil should be facing up or down. visually it looks better down, but from a symbolic point of view, having something point up shows the direction of success.

It's not easy for me to say if I like it or not as it too early for me to make such comment as I still like the original broken pencil cross.

Another note to make, ensure that branding will blend in nicely with existing works you've done. Unless you're doing a fresh start / portfolio overhaul?

Finally I like the idea of pencil and mallet (linear version, not filled) as "bespoke" which make it more original if I am making sense? Ha! :D

Oh sorry, one more thing, pencil down not upward, imagine that as chisel, you wouldn't be holding chisel the wrong way? Would you? :P

thanks so much for your input @Ali Salih you make some valid points!

I agree, the outlined logo works best, I also think my work reflects the simplicity and clean cut look of the new logo, it is good to keep that in mind, you're right! thank you and I'm glad you liked my last logo!!

the chizel would indeed be pointing down, good point, I will sit on that thought for a whole before settling on a file! I have made the line down the centre of the pencil thinner too...makes more sense. :)
