This is a concept for a video tagging app. Think of soundcloud.com for video.

Not bad for the first shot. But i have some tips for you the design itself is too crowded lets add more white space and let people focus on the content. Also add more spacing around the text and those side icons are going to be really hard to tap (they are too small) also do you really need the timeline here? Maybe its better to keep it dead simple. Welcome here and keep going i would like to see more ideas :)

Buttons need to be at least 44 px (88px in Retina), anyway, I dig the colors :D

@Luboš Volkov Awesome feedback, thank you! I totally agree, it's way too crowded and buttons are not at realistic sizes. I will keep going on it. Thanks for the advice!

I couldn't agree more with what @Luboš Volkov said, the spacing could do with a good look at and make more padding around most elements to give them room to breathe. I would also I would look at a different green as it is quite harsh on the eyes. Maybe a little duller would look better? The play button looks good tho with the lowered opacity.

@Barry Mccalvey Barry, thanks for the advice! I fully agree, after I tested it on a device all the issue of spacing and size became apparent.

Let me know what you think about the latest iteration, thanks!

@Aaron Kettl Hey man! The spacing issue has definitely been tackled! Is there any reason why the first avatar "Chase Kettl" is much bigger? Is it because it is the active state? I still think the black text is a little to 'in your face' maybe try a little lighter colour such as #3e454f just a thought. Also those 2 icons need looked at, the app has a soft feel to it therefore that share icon doesnt really fit. I would try to fit a different one with smoother edges. It also needs to be reduced to the same size as the heart. When using icons within app design it is all about consistency, sizing and spacing :) The heart isn't too bad but I would still reduce the 46 to give it room to breathe. Also the "+" icon at the bottom needs to be smaller. I think the rest of the icons would also look much better being a little rounded even only by about a 3-5px but that's just my opinion :) Hope that helps! The rest looks good.

@Barry Mccalvey I totally know what you mean about the icons. They really need some work. You're right about softening up the icons and not using pure black. I like #3e454f.

As for the size difference of the avatars, the larger avatar represents the person who started the thread. Different sized avatars might not be the best way to represent that.

I'll give it another shot. Thanks!
