All Lives Matter (Please read description)

This post is to create awareness about an incident that took place in Kerala, India recently. A pregnant mother elephant named 'Amba' went to a house to get food which is a common thing in Kerala. But what happened after that is just an inhuman thing that took place. The elephant was given a pineapple to eat by the residents which was filled with crackers inside which burst inside the mouth of the elephant. Her internal systems were damaged and she was in so much pain but, still she didn't try to attack. Its a natural instinct for an animal that they develop a trustful relationship with someone who provides them with nutrition. Amba also went to ask food with that trust but all that trust turned into betrayal. The rescuers found her very late standing in a lake with her mouth and trunk dipped inside the water to relief from the excruciating pain that she was suffering from. She was found about 20 days later from when the incident took place all starved because she couldn't eat anything. She hid herself from the humans because that sense of trust that we humans provided her was lost. In all this what was the fault of the baby elephant whose first experience was not life but death? Amba after suffering through a lot of pain died standing in the lake. The rescuers couldn't reach her in time which resulted in loss of not one life but two. The 3 men accused for the crime have been arrested but still there are other speculations that are being made that the pineapple filled with crackers were for wild boars to eat in order to stop them from destroying the crops. But, still does it make it justifiable to set crackers into food. All animals seek for food for their survival, be it a boar or an elephant. Even if it were for wild boars then there should be other preventive measures to stop them from destroying crops not setting up their food with crackers and bombs. Because of it an innocent animal lost its life and not just hers but her little baby's too. We as humans have to understand that this is not just about one life, it's about all the lives that mother nature has gifted us with. We as humans have to understand that its not just about the lives of humans that matter. ALL LIVES MATTER.

Please share this or make your own artworks and share it to people to create more awareness about this incident and many other such incidents. We as designers should also take on us as a responsibility for these animals to give them voice through our artworks. Give these animals voice through your artwork and let their stories be heard.
