Red Mountain Park

Red Mountain Park is a a new 1,200 acre public park on a former iron ore mining mountain in Birmingham, Alabama.

The master plan and design manual won an American Society of Landscape Architects Honor Award for Analysis and Planning.

As part of creating the master plan and design manual for the park, I also designed signage and branding materials. The signage allows the user to get a sense of their place within the park horizontally in relation to landmarks and vertically in relation to the mountain and rail tracks above and the mines beneath.

This is work I completed while working at Wallace Roberts & Todd as an Urban Landscape Designer.
