A simple fountain pen design. I got the urge to try it after seeing @Mike | Creative Mints design. Of course, I used 3D to cheat...

Stunning. The thing that puts it over the top for me is the super subtle texture (bump channel?) on the metal and plastic that you can just barely make out in the reflections. Nice work!
@Mark Pearson even when polished metal is what you'd expect to find in real life (the tips of fountain pens are usually polished), a synthetic image almost never looks real if the metal is flawless. It's just a matter of figuring out how to "ware out" the metal very subtly. In this case it was with tiny scratches (a bumpmap).
Excellent job! what app did you used?
Woah… That's nice.
@Abreud modeled in Autodesk Inventor, rendered in Keyshot. This is hardly a recommendation, however -- a more versatile designer would have used a renderer that uses node-based textures to create the engravings on the pen (like Blender Cycles or VRay).
I quit, I'll never try to make an icon again.
Awesome work, man.
Great details：） love it！
Very nice render!
