Gauntlet 2013 Skate Deck

I designed this custom skate deck for a giveaway to one lucky student at the Gauntlet! This is the piece that really informed the entire look and feel for this year.

I started with 80s skateboarding as my inspiration and growing up with a brother who was big into skateboarding, I remembered his beat up Christian Hosoi skate deck that he had and that image has always stuck with me. It was fun to pay homage to that iconic piece of skate history.
