Thank you guys. This feels indeed like a great side project that should get developed. I'll look into it and see what I can do.

What if.. the map/city name/time would change when you change location? For instance when you move to another city..? :)

This would also be a great idea for a watch though.

@Simon van Acht That's the point. The New York text, is actually an input field, and once you insert a new city name, everything changes, map, and time.

My reflex is to hate anything with a long shadow, but this is awesome. Good job.

You probably were flagged for abusing system dribbble!

This is just me but...I find this to be the first example of long shadow in which I think the long shadow legitimately hinders the appeal. However, I do very much love the other elements within, particularly the map :)

@Patrick Branigan First? I think most long shadows are inappropriate and distracting therefore hinder the appeal. Adds nothing to the design. I'm glad people are getting out of their system so we wont see it in 3 months. :)

@Danny Zevallos Agreed. Most harsh long shadows are done incorrectly and add little to the design. Even though, overall the above shot is good, it bothers me that only the needles have the shadows & not the white bounding box.
