The intersection of the single pixel stroke around the white photo border, blue masthead, and tan colored background is creating an illusion of misalignment on the stroke.
Anyone have any recommendations on how to fix?
Also, anyone have any clever ideas on how to name a shot that you WANT feedback on? (Other than HELP!) "Pass?" "Bounce Pass?" "Defensive Rebound?" :)

Set your <div>'s to have their own borders instead of placing the border on the parent. In your case the beige border around the blue area would change to be a slightly darker blue than the one you have.
Complicated way to say: Change the beige border around the blue to darker blue.
Good luck, man.
Ah, good point, Elliot. Switched out the tan border for a slightly darker blue border above the horizon line. Seems to be working! No more weird optics stuff!
i've run into similar issues myself...it's a very interesting phenomenon indeed!
