Spherium Overlay Buttons

I went through 9 different design styles trying to find a button design I liked for the overlay controls on Spherium's photo viewer.
The background is whatever photo is being viewed, so the controls need to look good over any background.
I think the dark shadow and white border around the control help it show up nicely against any background, from pure white to pure black.
