Tapping the app title reveals the folder bar, where you choose inbox, a colored notebook or the archive.

A simple animation in After Effects, but it costed me some blood, sweat and tears. There are so little tutorials on this tool, yet it's so powerful to demonstrate the ux in an app.

The ui is designed in Sketch, font used is the excellent Pluto Sans.

    Nice!
I used the Timeline panel in Photoshop CC to animate this ui, it's simple and powerful. I love Pluto Sans, it's a beautiful typeface.

@Bene thanks! I'm not a Ps guy (anymore), long time ago switched to Fw and now mostly Sketch. Fw has a simple way for frames, maybe that'll work too. I'll decide on AfterEffects when I've made the next animation, I hope I can do it faster by then.

@Olivier Vanbiervliet i never used AfterEffects, looks great for making animations. Would you recommend Sketch over PS for ui? I looked into it quickly but because i'm so used to PS and because i use a lot of scripts/add-ons in PS i'm not considering making the switch.

@Bene I've never used Ps that much, so I have no idea what plugins you use/need. For most ui/design work, I find Sketch extremely light and any Adobe app very cumbersome. I'm sure there are a lot of things Ps/Fw/Ai can do that Sketch can't (yet). I don't hesitate to switch back & forth if I need to.

Here's a nice article on Sketch by someone who was tied to Ps: https://medium.com/p/25545f6cb161

@Olivier Vanbiervliet I'll read the article you refer to. For a long time, Adobe CS worked best for me but you're absolutely right about the weight of the apps and difficulties but they are - finally - doing something about it :)

I find the purple header better...
It's a bit to white now...

@Dieter De Weirdt I agree, it was an attempt to see how it would fit in an iOS7 world. My current version was already back to purple.
    Thanks for the feedback!
