Mom

💐❤️ Mom. 1961–2007.
Some of my earliest memories are of watching my mom beat the original Legend of Zelda, as well as its Super Nintendo follow-up, A Link to the Past. She helped me figure out how to play the first Final Fantasy before I could read. Years later, she got our family deep into the then-new world of Pokémon. While video games were far from the only thing she used to bring our family closer, it was probably the means through which I felt the most connected to her.
