Lyft App Material Design Award 2018
When I joined a team of 30 designers at Lyft in 2017 the app was painful to look at and to use.
There was a "Project X" already underway to overhaul the whole foundation but it lacked a good process. I introduced the team to the Material Design Guidelines and advocated for the establishment of a similar internal doc. called Lyft Product Language ( Shout out to Linzi Berry for pushing the work forward ). This documentation enabled the team to automate time-consuming detailing and work in lockstep towards a singular vision.
When you do the best work of your life - Google actually sends you one of these physical awards. Pretty cool huh?
