I'm designing my first typeface, and it's the most fun I've had on a side project in forever.
Back story: it's based on a typeface a friend of mine found in a Chinese restaurant menu from the early 1960s. We tried to ID it for days but couldn't. I decided to use it as the jumping-off point for my first type design project.
If I'm an idiot and you recognize it (especially the "Q") let me know! Also, I'd love feedback!
Also, this is just one weight, and after much labor, I'm only BARELY happy with the caps. This is going to take a while... Good thing I've discovered the slow, methodical tweaking of letterforms is my happy place. :)
