This is a detail of an e-campaign that I've made last year. The general idea was to extend the black friday sale to the whole weekend. The font used is Varvid.
Commercial work directly related to sales can be a little annoying, for both - the designer and the client/webuser - so we've got to keep it fresh and use all the tricks in the book.
There has been quite a fuzz about the use of .gifs in ads, and on the web in a general way. I believe that if you want to use .gif animations you must use them wisely: too "soft", no one will notice, too "flashy", and the user will immediatly close the newsletter or webpage.
I've also decided to share the .psd file. So, if want you can take a look.
