Tweaking the homepage on a personal project. Tidying up the footer with some nice little icons, and making the call to actions a bit bolder to encourage lots of nice clicks!

nice tactile stuff mark. If that's your main CTA I might consider a third colour for the button.

Thanks guys. Yeah I need to introduce another colour. I was thinking a bit of burnt orange. Will have a bit of a fiddle!

This is looking really nice. I agree about a new colour for your CTA.

Green and Red are the buttons that draw people eyes the most in my opinion, so maybe try and keep the button the same colour and darken the green below?

    Just a thought.

From a user perspective, Green buttons get far more clicks (generally), followed by orange and blue. I think it's important to have a colour strategy for hot and cold CTAs.

It really is a bit silly to say green and red draw people's eye as CTA's because it REALLY depends on the surrounding area. A red button placed inside a red box isn't going to stand out nearly as much as a contrasting colour would.

It's great to know what works normally, but it's very naive to follow these 'rules' every time.

@Michael, I do agree, contrasting colours do also work, I just like the green button and thought it would be good to keep it that way.

@Michael I think a common sense approach has to be adopted - just as you would put black text on a black background.
