Diabolus Band Logo

Hand lettered then 3D rendered custom typographic logo for Diabolus, a local death metal band.

When in doubt chrome it out!

The brief from the band focused on the idea that they wanted to move away from the typical illegible messy style of their death metal peers; their previous logo was very much of that style (the style that looks like its made from twigs), and they wanted to move to something more modern.

This logo retains that metal music style with its thorn-like spikes and edges, and the angled perspective adds to its imposing feel, but the letter forms are clear and legible.
