Virti - Chatbot Builder
The Client
We have been working closely with Virti to redesign their customer experience and discover key insights behind one of their product - chatbot builder.
Virti is an award-winning training & assessment platform for medical workers. It provides Virtual Reality training that drives behaviour change across healthcare organizations. One integral part of the training is an interview with a patient. The script is built with a chatbot builder, one of the many integrated tools in the Virti ecosystem.
The Challenge
Virti already had a working product, but the problem was that the user experience was not intuitive as they anticipated. In addition, every newly released feature made product even more complex, and users did not adopt a new tool. Finally, through internal research, the Virti team realised the user experience is overwhelming the user.
The project's main goal was to redesign the platform entirely from scratch and validate a new user experience with end-users.
The Solution
We ran a 5-day user-centred process developed at Google called Design Sprint. This process allowed us to align all stakeholders around a defined challenge and rapidly prototype and test realistic solutions with real users.
Insights from user tests helped us understand that the scripting tool requires some advanced knowledge in use, but the end-user is not so skilled. For that reason, we iterated on designs and put a lot of emphasis on onboarding and feature walkthroughs.
The Result
We help the Virti team develop an action plan and roadmap to sell the solution concept internally and move rapidly into product development:
- Capture the outcomes of the sprint in a Sprint Summary with 6-month Product Backlog
- Integrated user feedback and iterated the proposed solution based on findings uncovered while testing the prototype
- Fully explore the technical feasibility and business viability of the proposed solution through feasibility assessments or comprehensive value analyses
- Design and deliver all the User Interface screens of the new MVP app, together with the Style Guide
We created an early alignment around a validated product idea that drastically accelerated the project forward and was invaluable for the Virti innovation department.
