Hand-Painted for Preakness

This is one of a set of plates that I hand-painted as commemorative gifts for the owners of the horses entered into this year's Preakness Stakes. I used acrylic paint for ceramics on plain, white plates. The edge borders were sponged freehand but for the centers I used a template so the plates would be as uniform as possible. Check out the @2x to see a larger version.

I posted a few to my portfolio on Behance if you'd like to see more: http://bit.ly/12K6IuX
