Working From Home

Hoping everyone is staying safe during these uncertain times đź’™ for those fortunate enough to work from home right now, I hope the transition hasn't been too stressful for you.

As a freelance designer, I know all too well how easy it is to become distracted while working remotely so I figured I'd share a few things I've learned throughout the years in hopes of easing your situation just a little bit:

• Like a normal workday, keep a routine to help hold yourself accountable and maximize your productivity.
• Set your phone to 'Do Not Disturb' mode so you won't be distracted by notifications.
• Take breaks regularly throughout the day; go for a walk, read a book, scroll through your phone, or take a nap!
• Create a consistent workspace for yourself and keep it organized, the messier it gets the more chance of a disturbance to your workflow.
• Most importantly, dedicate specific time off! It is so easy to tell yourself you can get more work done because you haven't left your "office" but remember that you wouldn't normally work those late/extra hours.
