Diversity Deck – Lithosphere: Geological time scale

Diversity Deck is a set of playing cards produced by Maintenant Sustaining Now!, a social enterprise that sets its mission to educate adults and children alike about the challenges the planet Earth is facing in the foreseeable future. There are currently 16 Diversity Decks, each one devoted to a specific theme: Solar System, endangered animals, inspiring people, atmosphere, biosphere, etc. Each card features a brief description that can be explored further if the player follows the card’s unique ID on the game website. With every deck one can play nine different games, such as snap, solitaire, memory game, rock-scissors-paper, and others.

The Geological time scale card (unique ID L15) is from the Lithosphere deck, which is available at https://maintenant.org.uk/shop/games/deck-lithosphere While the chronological divisions are not labeled, the illustration is enriched with timelines of characteristic lifeforms indicating which ones went extinct, and which ones continue to exist to this day.
