Face Errors

So, I'm modeling this logo in Blender, and in trying to work non-destructively, have built things using splines and lattice cages. After attaching the lattice to the main logo (with the intent of tapering the edges down) I find that the face is beginning to tear apart.

Since I'm not working with polygons, I'm not sure exactly how I'm going to fix this without converting it over. Meh. Frustrating.

Maybe @Jonathan Williamson (from CGCookie) has a tip he can offer me. Google has provided very few results.
