Alert Notifications System

Problem
Food Delivery Services often have interruptions like snowstorms, severe traffic jams, or other incidents. With a company that serves nationwide like Bite Squad, we needed an easy way to communicate these issues to our users.

Role & Solution
As Head of UX, my job was to figure out the most effective way to alert those issues. Alongside the tech team, we created an "alert system" with different tiers and goals. We made Positive Alerts, Mid-level Alerts, and Critical Alerts. Within this new announcement library, we created different styles, CTAs, and behaviors that were controlled from the back end, and segmented by market. So each time an alert was needed, it could be built with a "Lego blocks" approach.

Results
Our new alert system had a significant internal impact. We streamlined our way to post alerts, decrease overhead and complexity, and created a clear communication channel with our users.
