Red Carpet — Fashion Figures
Every time awards season comes around I watch purely for the fashion and glamour. I devour those behind the scenes videos of how red carpet looks start from an idea and manifest into an elaborate work of art hand-crafted with love by artisans and designers.
Drawing dresses is my way of honoring these designers, acknowledging fashion, style, and craftsmanship. When I draw something I get to pause and truly study what I’m drawing, and translate the movement and beauty of the fabric into an illustration that I get to take ownership in.
