Daily UI 008 Error Page

Day 8 of the Daily UI Challenge took a little longer than anticipated as I worked to create an animated 404 error page. I wanted to challenge myself and go beyond the prompt by creating not one, but four error pages which would cycle as the user clicked on the page.

I chose to create four pages because I wanted to represent the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Using the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator, I created a vectorized landscape which features a house accompanied by a tree in front of a vast mountainscape. Each error screen contains colors as well as small elements that help to represent each of the seasons.

This animation, which was created with Adobe After Effects features a pointed cursor coming onto the page and clicking through the various error pages.
