Had some free time this weekend and so I decided to take a look at the current website from a great financial Dutch online software startup called MoneyBird. They are growing fast and have a lot of satisfied Dutch costumers already.
To give them some inspiration and food for thought I designed a new homepage for them, in which I think their unique selling points stand out more and improves readability.
The great flat icon's I've used are from this awesome guy Norm
The awesome line icons I've used are from this great designer Jory
Don't forget to check out the attachment for the full view of this concept. The headlines used in this design are all Dutch, so if you want a better understanding of the content, please use this website. :)

Looks great! The new design uses a lot of elements from the old, making it easier for old/current customers to adjust. The flow is pretty top notch as well, even with the zig-zag image and body text pattern, the layout still offers a consistent top to bottom current.
At first glance, it's hard to tell what the website is about though. small changes to the illustrations could aid in fixing that though. The euro/money symbols on the current website make it obvious what it's about. All in all though, great design work (:
Just simply awesome! Love the illustrations.
Iustrations are awesome, but that egg at the bottom is really wierd sorry :)
@Dustin Cartwright Thank you for your feedback.
@Luboš Volkov Haha! It's an easter egg :P
I like the color, illustration and layout too.. its just awesome man...
Nice and clean
Great work.. and great app.. love it!
Mooi! We're fanatic moneybird users. I think a redesign like this would be welcome. I must agree on the egg, it doesn't fit the overall design. The newsfeed in the bottom feels also out of place considering people won't scroll that far. So what about the actual quote pages?
Perfect simplicity @Bart Ebbekink :)
@Saus Thanks! Of course the full quote page would still exist, this is just a little extra, for people that scroll down the page.
@Yura Yarokhovich Thanks! :)
This is nice but I think the background is too blue and not contrasted enough with the header. I'd go for plain white or maybe one blue to white gradient.
@Guillaume Gaubert Thanks for your comment, but actually the background is white. The header is full width of the browser, and everything beneath it is white. The blue is just for this shot.
Supervet! Maybe update the logo as well while you're at it?
And I agree with @Dustin Cartwright; maybe using currency symbol(s) in the envelope illustration in the header would do it.
One last drop of critique: The green in the currency symbol in the logo might be a more activating color than the green you're using in the CTA's.
Like how you positioned the button between the different backgrounds...Awesome!
