    I like your take on the idea, I would suggest adding something to the icon as I would not know this was for a Bible app if the text was not below it. Clean and nice though, well done.

    Thank you everyone for the kind words and your positive feedback.

    Of course, I've already tried adding a cross and various other features to the icon in many fashions. With some feedback from @Ethan Sisson This specimen is the result of beginning stages of refinement and exploration without these elements.

    Another thing to consider is that the "bible" caption will almost always be occupying space nearby its native habitat on iOS and Android devices. This allows for more freedom and simplification. However, I'm considering revisiting other forms of distinguishing and adding more characteristics that might better reflect the desired goal. Still, this was a lot of fun.
