Measuring Twitter sentiment

As part of my university dissertation, I'm looking into methods of analysing the sentiment of messages sent via Twitter. Part of this analysis is the process of plotting the data and trying to find interesting patterns.

Each point on the map is a tweet, with the colour determined by the difference in sentiment across a period of two days.
