The wild boar

2019 is the year of the wild boar in the Chinese zodiac, so this is the New Year's card I made. I love Noboru Baba's picture books, like Eleven Hungry Cats, which everyone in Japan has read at one time or another. He has one book called Monta and the Wild Boar which features a brave and gentle young hero. This picture contains my wish for my own son, who just turned 1, to become like that young hero someday too.
