Playlist cover for 2017

This is something I did a couple of 8 months ago. For a piece of certain music provided, I needed to design 20 custom artworks for 20 playlists. The playlist refers to different years. This one was from the concept that passed but wasn't out of the artworks that ended up in the end. Since the playlist was big for every year and using artist artwork was forbidden I decided to see what was specific in using visual communication in a specific timeline, and what did inspire MTV, Vivo, and pop culture and art history in that periods. This was one of the alters in the solutions that I provided and didn't wasn't picked. Cause I was rooting for the version that the client picked. Cause of the client's requests I can't post his logo or the copy that was on the top of the cover.
